July 3, 2009 - Goodwood Renovations Continue...

The DiLeo's are continuing the impressive upgrade program to Canada's historic Goodwood kart circuit.
"We are continuing to operate our facility on a daily basis.  The trackside upgrades are planned for minimum interruption to our commercial kart programs and The TRAK club racing program", said Daniel DiLeo, President of Goodwood Kartways.

Sectional repaving is scheduled for the week of July 6, weather permitting.  "Goodwood's famous bumps will be no more", said Daniel.

The installation of the plastic barrier system is being fine-tuned.

Goodwood's principle Marco DiLeo and ASN's Chere Cooke discuss the new kerbing installation. "The new kerbing has made an impressive improvement in the smoothness of driving the track", says Marco who is managing the track improvement program.

A view of the new two-storey control tower that will house timing and scoring, scaling and a post-race technical centre.

Nearing completion is the second story of the control tower features an enclosed podium that will provide excellent viewing from the paddock and great photo ops!

For those who know the Goodwood facility, the "hill" section of the paddock is being re-contoured for easier access.

The paddock area near the east entrance is being graded for motorhome parking.  The surface is planned to have asphalt tailings cover the surface for stability.
