CORRECTION - 2010 ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships - The 12 annual Championship event will take place at the SRA facility at Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec on August 18 - 22, 2010.  This change was brought about as a result of an international event taking place in Quebec on the originally scheduled date.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Karting Rule Change for 2010 Clarification - The full-width rear bumper requirement will apply to all karts.  Generally, chassis that have been homologated with full-width rear bumpers will be required to use the homologated bumper.  Non-homologated karts, such as 4-cycle, will require a full-width rear bumper to the specifications that will be supplied by ASN.

Karting Rule Change for 2010 - Effective January 1, 2010, full-width rear bumpers become mandatory for all classes of karts across Canada.  The detail specifications will be posted in a few days.  The specifications will address the type of acceptable full-width bumpers, and will allow for plastic or metal bumpers depending on the homologation specifications of the kart.

Safety Reminder - Recently we have all experienced unusual weather patterns. There have been a number of fatalities and serious injuries associated with lightning strikes.  Motor sport events since they take place primarily outdoors pose a threat to the safety of those involved.  Please read the safety reminders published by Environment Canada.  Click Here

Notice to all Canadian karting clubs - AMB on their website has a software upgrade for Orbits4 - it is SPII.  This upgrade will prevent upload of results to MyLaps.com.  AMB advises NOT to install this software update and to continue to use Orbits4SPI.  The Decoder firmware update SPII will not affect the performance of your system, according to AMB.
